Nick’s passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation came about in the 10th grade when he suffered his first concussion playing in a Team BC Footballtournament in Saskatchewan.

Nick graduated from Douglas College in 2024 earning a Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching degree with a Kinesiology specialization, and became a Registered Kinesiologist shortly after. Throughout his degree, he realized he wanted to work in a clinic as a rehabilitation specialist, andshadowed physiotherapists Ryan Hill and Sheldon Crouse at the North Shore Winter Club location to further expand his knowledge in the field. He alsohas quite the knack for coaching, and has been working as a Fundamental Movements Coach and Trainer with GameReady Fitness since 2019 and hasworked with all kinds of athletes. Additionally, he has been coaching Wide Receivers for the Fox 40 Canada Football Chat Prospect Games since 2022.He was also a Physical Education Assistant at St. Helen’s Elementary School in Burnaby and occasionally helps coach Wide Receivers at Notre Dame Regional Secondary School. Nick played all sorts of sports growing up including soccer, track and field, and ball hockey, but the one he pursued was football. He played on Team B.C. as well as participated in the Fox 40 Prospect Game from Grades 10-12.

Nick continues to be involved in sport, playing flag football, soccer, and basketball recreationally and exercises regularly. When he is not partaking inphysical activity, you can find him watching football, playing video games, and listening to music.

Jared was born and raised in Squamish, B.C and always had an interest in sports science due to his active lifestyle. Jared received a soccer scholarship to play for Quest University Canada in 2012 where he played for two seasons before transferring to the University of British Columbia to complete his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology in 2015. Following this, Jared was accepted to the Massage Therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, which he recently graduated from in 2017. Jared has over 550 hours in clinic experience working with a diverse group of clientele and 3000 hours of curriculum study at VCMT. He has learned a variety of modalities including relaxation, deep tissue, sports massage, and rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Jared continues to live a very active lifestyle playing soccer in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League and practicing various forms of martial arts including Brazilian ju-jitsu, wrestling, boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing.

Sheldon is an east coast native, graduating with distinction from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in 2012. He then went on to complete a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University, graduating in 2014. During his years in university he completed the Hockey Canada Safety Program and worked as the head trainer for elite minor hockey teams.

Since graduating, Sheldon has focused on developing his manual therapy skills, completing the Orthopaedic Division Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Level I course and Level II Upper and Lower Extremity courses. Sheldon has also completed his Acupuncture AA1 and advanced practice IMS/dry needling.

Sheldon continues to be very involved in sport, playing hockey, golf and tennis recreationally and is working towards achieving his Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy. His special interests include sports injuries, neck, shoulder, back and hip pathology. He is passionate about helping people return to active living, maximizing function and performance.

Diego was raised in North Vancouver, and grew up playing a variety of competitive sports including university soccer. He has first hand experience with acute/chronic injuries, and is passionate about maximizing function from injury.

He completed a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, and a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. In addition, he also holds certifications in dry needling (BDN), and manual therapy (Level 1). His professional experience expands across athletes of all ages and levels, including Vancouver Whitecaps FC and multiple soccer organizations in the community.

Diego emphasizes a collaborative and manual therapy approach, with a focus on movement education and development. His clinical focus includes sport specific rehabilitation, core stability, and injury prevention. In addition, he also has a clinical focus on return to play and on-field rehabilitation across soccer, basketball, tennis, and hockey athletes; facilitating recovery and performance in sport.

Ryan’s passion for Physiotherapy began at the age of 15 years old when he ruptured his ACL playing bantam football on the North Shore. He graduated from UBC’s Bachelor of Human Kinetics program in 2008, specializing in Kinesiology & Health Science. He became certified as an Exercise Physiologist from the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and began working as a personal trainer at UBC’s BodyWorks Fitness Centre-Changing Aging Program. Ryan graduated from UBC’s Master of Physical Therapy program in 2010 and gave the valedictory address. He is also certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, offering both acupuncture and dry needling (IMS) services. Ryan holds a valid Red Cross-Sport First Responder Certificate, is a member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada and has volunteered at numerous local sporting events providing on-site care. Ryan is certified as a Functional Movement Screen practitioner. He holds the Intermediate Diploma of Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy and is currently pursuing the Advanced Diploma.

Dr. Hunsberger graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania on a four year tennis scholarship with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He then obtained his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. Dr. Hunsberger focuses on musculoskeletal conditions, primarily soft tissue injuries and joint dysfunction. He combines chiropractic, Shockwave, Custom Orthotics, ART®, laser therapy along with specific rehabilitation exercises. Originally from Calgary, Erin moved to Vancouver to complete her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia before recently settling in North Vancouver.

She strongly believes in the importance of lifelong movement and enjoys working with clients across all ages and stages. Whether returning to sport or activity, her treatment approach combines the cornerstones of education, manual therapy, and exercise prescription to create an individualized and comprehensive recovery plan. Erin works collaboratively with her clients to help them achieve their goals.

Erin started her career in the acute setting and has a wide range of clinical experience, extending from postoperative recovery to neurological rehabilitation. She grew up playing competitive soccer and it was her own experiences with physiotherapy that led her to pursue the profession and continues to drive an interest in injury prevention at the youth sports level.

Beyond the clinic, Erin loves to explore the mountains and can often be found hiking, cross-country skiing or running the local trails with her puppy.

Natalie is excited to be returning to Allan Mcgavin as a physiotherapist! Prior to completing her Masters of Physical Therapy at UBC, Natalie worked as a kinesiologist at the clinic and loved working with a range of populations and injuries. Natalie grew up on the North Shore playing competitive sports, which is when she was first introduced to physiotherapy to treat her own injuries.

As a therapist, she believes in the combination of manual therapy, education and targeted exercise prescription to help patients decrease their pain and get back to doing what they love. Natalie is passionate about building a strong connection with her patients so that they can be an active participant in their care and achieving their goals.

Natalie has experience working with a wide range of populations including post operative patients, individuals with osteoarthritis, neurological conditions, or acute sport related injuries.

Jaime has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since graduating from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy program over 10 years ago. She is particularly interested in treating headaches, repetitive strains, pregnancy-related issues, and sports injuries. Flixzl’s interest in injury rehabilitation started when he first attended his first physiotherapy session at age 16 when he tore his UCL of his elbow while wrestling at a national tournament. He graduated from Vancouver Career College’s Registered Massage Therapy Program in 2022 as well as becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2022.

Flixzl is very athletic training in various combat sports, with his main sport being wrestling as well as practicing MMA, jiujitsu, and kickboxing. He also has interests in weightlifting and bodybuilding. He is very interested in rehabilitation of shoulder, knee, hip, and spine injuries.
