Steve spotted these trailers. I’m not sure what vehicles were designed to tow them, but they look like they are rugged and could be handy behinda jeep or tractor.

“Koenig Iron Works complete enclosure top from a 1955 Willys Jeep CJ-5. Comes with the top, two sides, back door and both side doors. Some glass is cracked but still intact, both side door windows move freely and come with all original hardware. Back door hardware functions as it should. The top is in very good condition. There is some rust and or holes, on some pieces, but overall, this would be great for a restoration project and is solid. I have the majority of the screws, etc., but they are standard size so replacing is not difficult. Also included are the old interior door panels, which are shot but could be used as templates for replacement.”

A Willys Jeep M170 combat Ambulance from 1962. Jeep is in original condition and could benefit from a time up. Comes with original canvas top (needs some patching) and door panels. Has siren, shovel, and axe. Has passenger seat from M38 Jeep. Also has a military trailer (photo coming) that hooks up to it.

My young family is expanding and as much as I want to keep this, my family needs a more modern family friendly vehicle more. Ah, decisions!

I ran across this magazine on eBay. Given the cover, I couldn’t resist buying it, though there was no other jeep pics or illustrations within it.

While I doubt this served during the Korean War (which ended in mid-1953 .. see G503 discussion), this is the USMC version (Note the rings at the ends of the rear bumper) .

“1948 willys Jeep CJ2a Flat fender with clean title, 1961 215 all aluminum Buick V8 swapped in with dual exhaust, was told it drove 2 years ago, motor turns free. new older tires still with nubs. great project for the right person, tub is in good shape for the age, drive floor patched, firewall was cut up for engine swap. Looks like all original sheet metal, extra trans and transfer case. $2800 as is Clean title

Has tow bar so it can be flat towed. but hard top and front clip only has a few bolts holding them on.

“I am selling an original Koenig hardtop that came as original equipment on a 1946 CJ2A. This hardtop is in excellent condition, no rust or dents or past repairs. Even contains the original padding/insulation on the roof. All the glass is perfect and they open as if new. The only negative about this top is the color but of course can be repainted. I do not have the doors. It should be noted that the jeep is not for sale, only the hardtop.”

This might be a good parts wagon (or possibly a good project). It’s got an early set of Free-Lock hubs.

Mike spotted this classic Fresno-modded jeep. The Muller top, the side doors, the upgraded engine, and more are common among jeeps with Fresno mods.

UPDATE: Frank explained the sprayer on the side of the jeep:The sprayer in question is termed a back pump sprayer. The wildland Firefighters used this type of back pump on mop up of forest fires. The can could carry 5 gallons of water. Later came the rubber type back pump to mop up forest fires. The rigid pump was awkward when bending over spraying water and even when empty it was awkward. The rubber type back pump was like walking with 5 gallons of Jello on your back. When spraying, you used one of your fingers over the nozzle to disperse the water to cover more area. Short pieces of used cotton jacketed hose was often used on the shoulder straps on the rigid type pumps to relieve some of the “torment” to your shoulders. Both of these style pumps had nicknames that are not printable at this time.

If you are looking for a mid-1960s CJ-5, this might be a good value. It includes a 120volt mod and something on the side (water?).

This has some old school updates. Some, like the tail lights, doors, and fender flares, are similar to some of the Fresno jeep mods.

“I have a 1943 Ford GPW for sale. It has the original gpw chassis and tub but the grill and hood are from a cj3a. The seats are from a Chevrolet car and sit on custom fabricated frames. The gas tank has been moved to the back to sit under the tub. It comes with a Chevy 152 engine which has 90hp and 152 lb ft of torque. Nice little 4 cyclinder engine, starts up first crank and runs smooth. The transmission is a T90 and needs to be rebuilt. Right now the third gear synchro is broken and second gear grinds. It come with a really nice roll cage, set of doors that lock, and a rear seat. The price is $6500 OBO. I paid $7500 for it, and was hoping to throw a new tranny in her and have some fun. But I’ve been busy and just don’t have time to work on it.”

“945 Ford GPW WWII Jeep unrestored in very good shape. Frame and body in good condition. Starts and runs great. This jeep can be driven as is or would be a good restoration project. I just drove it around town and to Home Depot for fun. The jeep spent most of it’s life in California before I had it shipped to Indiana. Recent carburetor rebuild, tune-up, new locking front hubs, radiator flush, oil change and misc. maintenance done. Prior owner swapped out the original 4 cylinder engine with one with more HP. Jeep has a top speed of 55mph vs 40-45mph. Clean Indiana title.”

This is considered a rare “Lefty” which only means spare is mounted on drivers side. Runs great but does sometimes slip out of 2nd gear only off the gas/downshifting.”
