The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick (9pm C4)

“In 2022, more than one third of my surgical cases have been revisions of surgeries that have gone wrong,” says Noel, as he prepares to treat nine-year-old Hungarian Vizsla Brodie.
Brodie was given a partial elbow replacement by a now struck-off vet – and ever since the surgery he’s not been able to put weight on his front leg.
Step forward Noel, who looks into the botched surgery and sadly discovers the elbow joint has completely collapsed and is also infected.
But, of course, Noel doesn’t give up and offers Brodie another chance at recovery.
Meanwhile, Noel battles to save tabby cat Vinnie’s life after he’s rushed in after being run over – and Noel’s natural empathy towards his heartbroken owners will ensure there’s not a dry eye in the house

The ‘graphic in nature’ warning at the beginning of this show-all surgery series should not be disregarded – but there should also be one for the emotional impact.
The first episode of the six-parter follows 43-year-old Charmaine from Trinidad, whose entire body and face is covered intumoursdue to a medical condition called neurofibromatosis, which has seen cruel strangers brand her ‘a monster’.
Charmaine also has trouble balancing and breathing, and dreams of being able to play with her young granddaughter.
Now, the inspiring mum of two is travelling to Los Angeles to meet with a surgeon who thinks he might be able to help – with truly remarkable results.
Casualty 24/7: Every Second Counts (9pm C5)

It’s another hectic shift for the staff at Barnsley Casualty, as Jane attempts to avoid an ambulance traffic jam, while the team deal with a string of tricky cases.
Ninety-seven-year-old Jim has been lucky enough to avoid hospitals for most of his life, but as he arrives at A&E, physician associate Adele fears that he may be suffering from multiple organ failure.
Meanwhile, junior doctor Josh tends to Russell, 83, who is complaining of severe abdominal pain.
Josh suspects that the patient may have pancreatitis, but his use of insulin causes complications.
Euro 2024: Ukraine v Belgium (4.30pm BBC1)

Incredibly, Belgium and Ukraine have never met in a competitive fixture, which adds an air of novelty to today’s Group E clash between the two nations.

Although Belgium are yet to liveup to the promise of their recent golden generation of players, their attacking trio of Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Jérémy Doku is still strong enough to strike fear into any side.
